Insurance

Mental health services may be covered by your insurance plan, either through in-network or out-of-network benefits. Coverage varies, so it’s important to contact your insurance provider directly to verify your mental health benefits.


In-Network

Nicole is an in-network provider with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Anthem Blue Cross, Magellan and United Healthcare. Before beginning services, please contact your insurance company and ask:

  1. Do I have in-network mental health benefits?

  2. What is my co-pay per session?

  3. How many sessions are covered each year?

For in-network plans, Nicole will bill your insurance directly. You are only responsible for your co-pay at the time of each session.


Out-of-Network

If your insurance plan is not listed above you may still be eligible for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits. Ask your provider:

  1. Does my plan include out-of-network mental health coverage?

  2. Is there a deductible, and has it been met?

  3. What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?

Nicole will provide you with a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.


Fees & Payment

Nicole offers a standard fee for psychotherapy services, which will be discussed and agreed upon during your initial consultation. To make therapy more accessible, she also offers a sliding scale based on financial need.

Accepted payment methods:

Venmo, Zelle, check, and cash. Payment is due at the end of each session.

Scheduling & Cancellations

To schedule an initial session or consultation, you can leave a confidential voicemail at 310-614-1637 or send an email to Yourbestself831@gmail.com. Nicole typically offers initial appointments within one week of contact.

Session length: 50 minutes

Frequency: Weekly sessions are encouraged and scheduled based on mutual availability.  Telehealth is available as well  

Cancellation Policy: Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed sessions are billed at the full session rate.


Confidentiality

Your privacy is a priority. All communication between you and Nicole is kept strictly confidential. This confidentiality helps create a safe and trusting space for meaningful therapeutic work.

There are a few exceptions to confidentiality, as required by law:

  • If there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others

  • If there is suspected abuse of a child, elder, or dependent adult

  • If records are subpoenaed by a court of law

Additionally, insurance plans may request limited information about your treatment for reimbursement purposes.
